In summer its peaks tower above the greenness of the woods and the blue of the alpine lakes. In winter the landscape is cloaked by the magic of the snow, the joy of skiers who come here for the downhill and crosscountry runs, surrounded by the splendour of the central Alps, the horizon dominated by Mount Disgrazia, Pizzo Bernina and Pizzo Scalino. Over twenty alpine shelters are the classical destination of the summer excurtions; some can be reached by just a few minutes' walk, whereas enthusiasts from all over the world strive for the traditional mountain "huts". However, also in the townsat the bottom of the valley our guests have every opportunity to spend a pleasant holiday; walks in the mountains or along yhe specially equipped gymnastic routes, sports centres with tennis courts and swimming pools, play parks which are ideal for families with children and, to the delight of everyone, the best of Valtellina's traditional wine and food.
